Description
The Range Rover Vogue LSE, introduced in the early 1990s, is a notable model within the Range Rover Classic lineup. "LSE" stands for "Long Standard Equipment," highlighting its extended wheelbase, which provides extra rear-seat legroom and enhanced comfort. This variant was designed to blend luxury with the off-road capabilities that Range Rover is renowned for, making it a symbol of sophistication and rugged performance. The Vogue LSE featured a luxurious interior, complete with leather upholstery, wood trim, and advanced amenities for its time, including an innovative air suspension system that automatically adjusts the vehicle's height based on driving conditions.
The Range Rover Vogue LSE was powered by a 4.2-liter V8 engine, delivering a smooth and powerful performance suitable for both on-road cruising and off-road adventures. The Vogue LSE quickly became a desirable choice for buyers seeking a vehicle that combined the prestige and comfort of a high-end sedan with the versatility and capability of an SUV. Even today, it is remembered as a pioneering model that set new standards in the luxury SUV segment.
The very special example we are delighted to offer for sale is a RHD, UK supplied Soft Dash LSE Auto that has been recently subject to a full restoration and re-engineering by marque specialists Twenty Ten Engineering in Redditch, England. The car was fully stripped and treated to a bare metal respray in Ardennes Green and the interior was completely retrimmed in Tan coloured Poltrona Frau leather hide with contrast Green stitching. The front seats have been replaced with Recaros that are both heated and ventilated and the original rear seats customised 40/40 rather than standard 60/40. Also re-upholstered were the door card inserts, storage cubby lids, rear parcel shelf and bespoke rear console. The headlining and A, B, & C pillars were retrimmed in Black Alcantara and a Pioneer Stereo and Subwoofer have been fitted.
Mechanically, the car received a freshly built 4.8 litre Rover V8 engine built by renowned specialist John Eales at JE Developments. It has a Bosch injector upgrade and achieved a more than adequate 280 bhp and 330 lbs/ft on the rolling road. Low down grunt is on demand and mid-range acceleration is deeply impressive. It also features a 4-pin diff centre, 3 bolt diff rebuild and ATB all by Ashcroft Transmissions, ZF auto box (Type 740) rebuilt OCR with Stage II upgrade, Borg Warner late rebuilt OCR and HD roll bar, HD rear half-shafts and drive flanges also by Ashcroft, bespoke stainless-steel exhaust, Fossway 330mm & 315mm brake upgrade, bespoke rear prop, Koni Heavy Track dampers and headlamp upgrade.
The Soft Dash Vogues are becoming increasingly collectible and with the JE Developments engine upgrade this fully restored example must be one of the best LSEs out there. The perfect combination of power and refinement. Contact us now for more information or to arrange a viewing.
