Introduced in 2010 to replace the outgoing, first-generation 997-series 911 GT3 RS, the new 997.2 GT3 RS offered a handful of welcome updates over the outgoing model. Chief amongst these was the 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six engine, which added an additional 35 brake horsepower over its 3.6-liter sibling, bringing total output to 450 brake horsepower. It shared the wider 911 bodyshell with the Carrera 4, and thanks to a revised front end and large rear spoiler, it achieved even greater downforce than the GT3, improving high-speed stability. The car was also lightened to 1,370 kg thanks to a plastic rear window, light door panels, single-mass flywheel, lithium-ion battery and specific rims with central nut.
This LHD example we are offering for sale was supplied new via Centre Porsche Rouen, France in July, 2010.
