Description
The Honda NSX is widely regarded as one of the finest driver’s cars ever produced and remains among the most influential sports cars of its era. Developed during Honda’s dominant Formula 1 partnership with McLaren and refined with input from Ayrton Senna, the NSX debuted in 1989 and entered production in 1990. Combining advanced engineering, everyday usability, and exceptional performance, it challenged established European supercars while delivering Honda’s renowned reliability.
At its core was a mid-mounted VTEC V6 housed within the world’s first production all-aluminium monocoque chassis. Lightweight construction, superb balance, and precise handling established the NSX as one of the most capable and rewarding supercars of the 1990s. For 1995, Honda introduced the NSX-T, featuring a removable targa roof panel. Extensive chassis reinforcements ensured the open-top model retained the rigidity and driving dynamics for which the NSX was celebrated.
A significant update arrived in 1997 with the NA2-generation drivetrain. Capacity increased from 3.0 to 3.2 litres, producing 290 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque. All NA2 models were fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox, larger brakes, and a stronger, lighter aluminium alloy, further enhancing performance and driver engagement.
Produced from 1990 to 2005, the NSX redefined expectations of the modern supercar, blending race-bred engineering, everyday usability, and timeless design. Today, it stands as one of the most respected and collectible Japanese performance cars ever built.
One of just five UK-supplied facelift NSX-T models, this outstanding example is presented in Sebring Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior, complemented by a matching Sebring Silver removable hardtop.
Throughout its life, this NSX has been maintained with an unwavering commitment to originality and mechanical integrity, supported by an extensive history file containing invoices totalling nearly £30,000. The car has benefited from nineteen recorded services, including two major services carried out by Kaz in 2014 and 2020, widely regarded as one of the UK's foremost NSX specialists. As a result, it remains in superb condition and is ready to be enjoyed.
