Ferrari 246 GT
Original UK right-hand drive Dino, finished in Rosso with Nero. Fantastic overall condition and magnificent history file.
The Dino range of sports cars was named in honour of Enzo Ferrari's son, Alfredino, who designed a dual overhead-camshaft V6 engine for both road and racing use before tragically passing away at the age of 24. The 206GT was the first model to be introduced in 1967, proving that Ferrari could compete with the likes of Porsche by producing a car in the more budget end of the sports car spectrum.
After 150 206s were produced, the updated 246 GT was introduced, boasting a bigger and more powerful engine; noticeable quicker than its predecessor. Weighing only 2,400 pounds, the perfect weight distribution of the Dino thanks to its Mid-Engine layout was one of the defining features of the car, one of the all time great handing Ferraris, on top of being one of the most beautiful.
The car we are offering is an original UK car delivered on 25th March 1972 through Maranello Concessionaires. The car is finished in Rosso with Nero leather interior and is a beautifully presented RHD 246 GT with a fantastic history outlining the complete ownership of the vehicle. This example sits as a fantastic car to either use or place in a collection; perfect to enjoy now and invest in the future.
